Hello Cubs! My name is Jahcenda Garrett and I am proud to serve as the Dean of Students at CCCHS. I am a Nashville  native and a 2012 graduate of John Overton High School. I attended Mississippi Valley State University for my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. I also was fortunate enough to play softball on a scholarship to MVSU.I began my teaching career at Davis Elementary in Greenwood Mississippi where I stayed for a year before coming home. I began teaching Lifetime Wellness at Cheatham County Central in the fall of 2018. I transitioned into becoming the Dean of students in the fall of 2019. I will start furthering my education to obtain my Masters degree in the fall of 2021. When I have free time I enjoy reading, music and movies. I also love to travel when I can. I am also the Head Softball Coach here at CCCHS.

 

I am a passionate educator and I love my role here at school. I get to work with the best students and teachers! My focus is on areas such as school culture, behavior and attendance. I host monthly family nights and various activities at school, such as, Fun Friday Lunch where we play bingo, trivia and karaoke. I am here to support the needs of the whole child, so please reach out if you need anything.
