ART III-IV 2019-2020 (Period 4th pd)
Course Description
Art III-IV-. This is the most advanced course following Art II for the most serious art student. This course stresses strong technique, development of a studio work ethic in the production of art, and an emphasis on decision making in developing a personal statement through one's craft. There is a series of open-ended assignments with a minimal amount of formal instruction. Students are expected to be self-motivated and prepared to research media and techniques. Students will work independently to complete one extra assignment per month in and outside of class for Art IV. Each student must assemble a portfolio containing all major works for review throughout Semester 1 and 2.
