LESSON OVERVIEW:

Class will discuss required reading 

OBJECTIVE:

Students will be able to describe Black Codes, Compromise of 1877, etc

ASSESSMENT / EVALUATION:

Students will submit a written paragraph describing how the New South differed from the Old South (antebellum South)

INSTRUCTION:

1. Students will break up into groups and discuss their reading

2. Students will come together and discuss as a class the reading

3. Students will submit a paragraph about the differences in old vs. new south.
